A FEW RULES OF THUMB TO PREVENT BECOMING A VICTIM OF FRAUD
• If something sounds too good (or bad) to be true, it probably is.
• Zero trust, 100% verification.
• Use institutional expert help.
• Don’t make decisions in haste.
• Safeguard your PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and your medical and financial data.
• Educate yourself.
One can’t know everything, but the more one knows, the more one is able to recognize wider patterns and evaluate new information.
• Don’t blame yourself for a mistake, learn from it.
