We have laptops for local library patrons to use.

If you do not have a device (smart phone/tablet/laptop) to access the wifi, we are offering limited hours of laptop use so you can connect. This service is primarily for locals; library patrons will be given priority access. Locals may obtain a library account by applying online at our website.

Laptop access will be on a “first come first serve” basis and will occur at:

  • Tuesdays & Fridays
    • 10:00 am to 12:00 pm noon
    • 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

(Note—pickup delayed in the event of heavy rain—please call first)

Please do not use Laptop services if you are sick. If you are sick stay home and call your doctor.

Please check in with the staff member available at the front of the library upon your arrival during the times listed. If you do not see a staff member please call us at 575-829-9155 or just wait a minute. Please stay outside the entryway; the building will remain closed—no public restrooms available.

The staff member will provide you with hand sanitizer before use, and cleaning materials to clean the laptop and sitting area before your use, and will direct you to the laptop location. We respectfully request you wear a mask while using the library laptop(s).

Laptop use will be limited to 30 minutes per person if others are waiting. The staff person will keep a waiting list if needed. Otherwise use is limited by the hours listed above.

Public Wi-Fi will remain on

Wi-Fi (no password) will remain on at the library for patrons to use 24/7 from outside and in the parking lot. Please observe these rules: In order to keep everyone safe and comply with social distancing orders we request that a parent or guardian needs to stay with the children outside the library while they do homework. Also social distancing should be maintained by either having only one family (two people max as per the Governors rules) occupy each picnic table in the back (there are two tables), or a family can work from inside their car in the library parking lot. If the tables and parking lot are full, please come back at another time rather than crowding. If families have trouble connecting or the service is too slow due to combined use please contact us and we will try to correct the problem as soon as possible.

Need a library card?

You can get a library card for digital access if you have a local (anywhere in Jemez Valley area) address by applying online here.

Requests for ebooks & audiobooks

Requests for ebooks & audiobooks will be accepted and considered for purchase on our OverDrive system if available. Please know that new releases tend to be high priced but we will try and add high demand titles.
